There was no beta thread.

I have my black bars at the side of my screen because I chose a resolution less than what my TV supports (these black bars are expected). They don't refresh and so I see still images of anything that happens in the black region - like steam notifications. This also means that if I [ALT] + [TAB] I my bars become grey like steam.

So far, I have no in game errors. I'm hoping I get to stay in air for a reason using the smoke screen magic.

I will report back.

Just beat the first real level - I guess that's 1-2.
I'm going to call the bonus yen page 'page one' and the next scoring page 'page 2'.

Okay, I'm supposed to get a bonus for hiding helmets (which I didn't know about that so I didn't do it). Strangely, the game says I hid 6, I guess if the helmet fall in the right place it counts as my hiding the helmets.

I got the gong bonus on screen one and got extra stuff on page 2. Do you get 2 bonuses? Do you get a bonus for being close?

I did free the 3 ninja, and the second score page says 3/3. For whatever reason, the caged ninjas reappeared... but the key (I don't know where I got it) did not reappear.

Speaking of reappear, the coins all reappear. In fact, I got 110/89 coins.

Also, I know I killed every single enemy and I got the awardement for killing the foes... but the second screen says I killed 16/26. So screen one is correct, but 2 is not.

Lastly, I did have a terrible time in the water. If you surface near the edge of water and jump whilst holding toward the ledge, then you grab the ledge instead of jumping out of the water - probably a good thing if there are enemies nearby. But pushing away from the ledge does not make you let go, pushing up does not make you climb up, and pushing down does not make you let go either. I hit jump and somehow I end up going through the wall. My getting in the wall is countered by a good programmer, as I clip the wall I'm instantly transported up to the grass (and there's a puff of smoke like when I magic transport). Altogether, the water needs a little work to make it smoother.

Okay, beat 1-3.

I got the awardement for beating all the foes (again), but the second screen says I only killed 15/22. Also, I pushed one down a pit... does that count as my kill?

Next question. Do helmets count as hidden once per helmet? Or can I hide the helmet and then use it and it counts? Can I hide one helmet 70 times and get a ton of yen bonuses?

I enjoyed the final act in chapter 1, no enemies just coins. After I beat it I had hoped that there would be an achievement - so I hope there are achievements.

I did notice one thing that might not be a huge deal to many, but I hope that there can be a control option for the few of us that prefer it. When I was trying to jump up a large vine section in act 4 I was holding 'w' (up for me) and I did not auto grab the next vine at the peak of my jump. I hope this can be an implemented feature - I'm very accustomed to it from other games, but I understand if you want the extra challenge.

I tested the game today at Minefaire at the Greater Philadelphia Expo Center. It was fantastic! I had a lot of fun playing, and I got to spend time talking to who I believe was a developer of the game. I beat the blizzard level on Grandmaster mode, which was fun and a bit challenging. Thanks for the experience! I look forward to beta testing the game and playing the full version when it is released. Happy gaming!

Hey Devils, thanks for posting! I was the one who you talked to, indeed the lead developer. I'm glad you enjoyed it, it's always great to see players work through the harder difficulty modes. And like I told you in person (I think), although several tried, you were the only one to actually beat a level on Grandmaster during both days!

The beta codes will be going out in a day or two after I fix some of the bugs I saw people run into during the event. Keep an eye out for that (and make sure to check your spam filter in case it gets caught, that happens sometimes!).
